Maple March

To help us get over the last hump of winter (which seems to want to stick around), we are given a sweet treat from Mother Nature. If you are in the South East of Canada, specifically Ontario, Quebec, and the Maritimes it means maple harvest. Many local communities hold festivals for the harvest that I highly recommend. Maple in the County, in my home town Prince Edward County will be my destination this year. The community gets very creative with its maple products, past years this has included maple gelato, maple cheese, and maple wine.
